Pontcysyllte World Heritage SiteThe Horseshoe Falls is a weir 460 feet long that is the source of the Llangollen canal and the start of the Pontcysyllte World Heritage site.

The World Heritage Site stretches 11 miles to Gledrid Bridge just past the Chirk Aqueduct.

The canal only becomes navigable at Llangollen where there are turning spaces for the narrowboats.
